Hello, I’m Karla!
I’m a ceremony guide and marriage commissioner based in Saskatoon, Canada. I am committed to crafting and officiating a personalized ceremony to celebrate and honour your love story with joy and meaning!
Your ceremony should be as unique as your love story. That is why, as your celebrant and officiant, I don’t use cookie-cutter templates.
Making a declaration of love and commitment is a momentous occasion. It is a rite of passage to be acknowledged with reflection and intention. My process for creating a personalized, meaningful ceremony gives you the opportunity to slow down and reflect on your journey as individuals and as a couple. How did you first meet and fall in love? What do you love about your partner that makes you want to spend the rest of your lives together? What are your hopes and dreams for the future? How can we honour your story, your family, your history?
Every aspect of your ceremony is custom-crafted. Inspired by a signature reflective exercise and in-depth interviews with you, I research, write and suggest possible vows, readings, music, rituals, and ways to include special family members and friends. I listen to what you want and what you don’t want. Your ceremony can be as simple or elaborate, traditional or unconventional, serious or playful as you want it to be.
Drawing on my specialized training in ceremony creation and rituals, I then weave together a ceremony that reflects your personalities, love story, spiritual beliefs or non-beliefs, cultural backgrounds, and values. I collaborate closely with you to create a ceremony that is authentic and unique. Of course, you always have final approval of your ceremony.
